Think On These Things Thursday

Philippians 4:8

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

I Peter 3:16--Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.

I Peter 3:8-16 talks about doing what you are supposed to do and not rendering evil for evil.  Then is talks about having a good conscience.  It struck me that it is so easy to "get back" at others or to be unkind and really, we not only hurt others but ourselves as well!  When we are unkind, we will have that on our conscience and it really isn't worth it to have to remember how you were unkind.  The moment's satisfaction you may get by snapping at somone is going to be spoiled by the guilty conscience.
